In den nächsten Wochen werde ich mich (so zumindest mein Vorsatz) ein bißchen genauer über das Oxforder tutorial-System auslassen, das ich seit Kurzem nicht mehr nur als Lernende, sondern auch als Lehrende kenne. Zum Einstieg nur ein kurzes Zitat von W.G. Moore:
At Oxford in my youth the Senior Tutor’s formula in reporting on my work to the Head of the College would never be: „Mr. Moore is being taught by Dr. X.“ It would be: „Mr. Moore is reading this part of his subject with Dr. X.“ I have come to see that two worlds lie within these expressions.“
Übrigens: Nein, ich weiß nicht, wer W.G. Moore ist. Ich habe das Zitat nur abgeschrieben. Schließlich braucht man ja mal ein bißchen Erholung vom wissenschaftlich korrekten Arbeiten.
